Well this week was interesting. We had less menos activos at church yesterday the total was at 9 which is still really good but it was slightly disappointing since in total we have 23 progressing less actives. (although that number's going to go down after next week because they won't be less actives anymore! yay!hopefully they stay active)
It was a little better with investigators we had our three super strong ones attend. Although two of them left after the second hour.
Luis is one of our investigators and apparently he's been lying to us about smoking. We're really bummed and we're going to have to bring it up when we visit him this week and really pound in the importance (with love of course) of living the palabra de sabiduría.
This week we've done a lot of zone activities. Where we get together in a market with a lot of people and we contact them like crazy and whoever gets the most addresses wins. We one the first one with 10 addresses, and a lady told me she was going to name her granddaughter after me. So for our prize we're going to get a triple! which is a book of mormon with the Doctrine and Covenants and pearl of great price to give to one of our investigators. We're thinking we'll give it to Luis.
Other than that not much has happened except my companion got knocked out with a soccer ball today when an Elder kicked it in the air. It was super scary because she couldn't remember who Nefi was in the book of mormon for about 20 minutes. But she's good now except that her head hurts and her body from falling on the concrete. Our zone leaders gave her a blessing and I think that it really helped her.
I'm so grateful for the Priesthood.
Speaking of the Priesthood we had a cool experience yesterday. There's a less active family in our ward who we've been visiting and this week they brought up that they wanted a priesthood blessing for their house. They don't attend church because they've only been members for a year and the mom still has doubts about the church. Anyways we had the bishop come and bless the house and we gave a tiny lesson on the priesthood. The spirit was so strong. I'm pretty sure the dad of the family was close to tears. He's super ready and he wants the priesthood but its his wife that's holding them back but I think after that experience she'll be more open to going to church.
Anyways I don't remember much else from this week. Oh actually I do Josimar got his temple recommend!!!! which means he's not smoking anymore! and he's started his papers and is working to get an interview for his patriarchal blessing! He has really come leaps and bounds since we first met him. Its really incredible!!His face just lights up when we talk about his mission and we'er super excited for him.
Well thats all. I love each of you!
