Naegle Nover: off to open once again! July 22nd

So the big news we've all been waiting for finally got delivered today. I will be leaving Pápa to head to another city called Érd. As far as I know sisters have never served there before so it should be quite the adventure. I am going to serve with my companion from the MTC, Sister Erlandsson. I am really, really excited. To be completely honest, I've been stressing about what would happen at transfers for a long time now. I knew that a lot of the sisters would be in tri-companionships and I really didn't want to do that. So this morning when I got my call and found out that the destroying angel of tripanionship had passed me by, I was very happy. I have no idea what we are going to do in Érd-two kids who don't speak Hungarian and have no investigators. Guess we'll just be tracting and streeting and trying to find all day long. Woohoo!! I am actually genuinely looking forward to it. Every day will be an adventure. Just pray that someone will want to learn the gospel from us. It'll be great!!

I have had an awesome transfer here in Pápa with Sister Kovács, but she is going to train here in a trio with a new missionary and a missionary who just got here last transfer. They will be able to do great things.

P.S. funny story: We were teaching our investigator about repentance and that somehow led into praying for your enemies. We asked him if he had an enemy and he replied simply, "Vannak....a városban" which roughly translated means "I have enemies....in the city." I don't know if you had to be there but it was sooo funny. He was extremely serious when he said it and he is kind of a weird guy and I could just imagine him walking into the town square to meet not just one but several enemies. Oh Csaba.....what a guy. 

Hermana Naegle: CAMBIOS!

So we had transfers today and guess what, I'm back in Guadalajara!!! literally just down the street from my first area! my areas keep getting smaller and smaller. They keep dividing areas to accommodate for all the missionaries that keep coming in. I believe that the Lord is hastening the work because the smaller the areas and the more the missionaries the more people who get baptized. Its cool. My new area is called Valdepeñas 1. and I finally get the opportunity to be with other hermanas! up until now me and my companion have been the only hermanas in the zone but now we get two more sisters in our ward! I'm super excited!

Well  I'm sad to leave Vallarta. We had some great investigators and the ward was really starting to pick up, but its all good. I'm willing to go where the Lord sends me. My new companion is the Hermana Valdez. She's interesting....... I've been following her my whole mission (I get her old companions.. literally every single one of my companions have been her companion before! now its my turn) and I have heard some stories about her. I'm actually a little nervous but I think I'll be able to handle this. We've gotten off on a good foot so far... my plan is to just be as positive as possible and kind and loving. 

We talked and I told her that my goal is to work in unity. I'm going to miss the hermana Vergara a lot. We worked really really well together and we were only together for 6 weeks but I actually feel rather confident about this transfer and I'm excited.. nervous but excited :)

Well the only thing I have to say is that my area is really really really small.... but they tell me that there is a lot of support from the members here so thats excellent!

The first two are of a sweet wonderful couple. The Leon family. They are spiritual giants! unfortunately they can't attend church because the Hermana can't walk very well and the hermano can't see or walk and is bedridden. The ward brings them the sacrament. I can't tell you how much I love them! they are my heroes! The last photo is of my wonderful investigator of Gold! she is amazing! she's gone through some horrible hard things but she's always smiling and always loving! Her name is Paulina.

Hermana Naegle July 14th

Our ward mission leader has returned!!! hopefully for good. He's a great WML but he's just been living in the US for the past three months that I've been here. But this past week he has returned and that is great news for this ward.

We had three investigators at church! Paolina (she is of gold!) Jose Luis Verde (he's a funny man who has about 20 chickens) and Conseulo (a reference from other missionaries and who wants to be baptised!) we're shooting for the 26th for Paolina and Consuelo to be baptised. Jose Luis Verde needs four more times in sacrament meeting, some friends in the ward, and more lessons so we'll see, I'm thinking some time in August. 

Rodolfo and Eduardo didn't show which means Rod can't be baptised on his birthday which is really sad. We actually didn't see him all week because we was never home when we were supposed to teach him. Eduardo ants to be baptised and he wants to serve a mission he just doesn't seem to want to come to church.... They both have been really good about living the word of wisdom and the law of chastity which are  lot harder to live than keeping the sabbath day holy.

We never did find out about the blood mystery. 

Well thats about all I can think of.

Naegle Nover: Another Week (July 14th)

Well the highlight of this week was hearing Csaba pray. We're not really sure how this happened, but somehow he has lived his whole life without really learning anything about God. He believes in God, but other than that we get to teach him everything. It's pretty cool, actually. I think he may have a learning disability or something and it is hard for him to read. The only prophet he knew about before we taught him was Moses and I think sometimes when he gets nervous he just spits out answers. For example, we taught him the Godhead and then later I wanted to make sure he understood and remembered so I asked him what he had learned so far about the Godhead and he said, "Well, there's God, Jesus, and...uh...Moses." It was super funny and I almost died laughing. Later in the lesson we asked him who the first person on the earth was and he said, "Well, that was Jesus, no?" And once again I almost died laughing. But I tried to reassure him that it is totally fine to not know everything and that is why we are here as missionaries to help people learn. Anyway, at the end of the lesson he finally prayed. We've taught him how to pray and asked him to pray lots of times but he usually just gets really quiet and just doesn't do anything so we eventually just pray ourselves. But this time he actually went for it and it was the most beautiful little prayer!! I was so proud of him. So it's slow with him, but good.

Another great thing is that more and more I am able to see answers to specific prayers that I offer. My testimony that if we truly act in faith we can receive answers is really growing. It's not just something I say to people on the street or at the door (or window since this is Hungary). It is a true principle that I experience in my life and that anyone can experience in his or her life. I am so grateful for prayer and for a loving Heavenly Father who listens to our prayers and answers them.

Hermana Naegle: Mysteries! (July 7th)

This week was relatively uneventful except for Thursday morning. All was normal in the house when we woke up. We went through our normal routine eating breakfast studying the scriptures etc. When I went to go grab something from the kitchen I was surprised to see five rather large drops of blood on the floor. I called my companion and asked her if she was bleeding. She came into the kitchen and was just as equally surprised. We searched the entire house and no one was inside, there were no animals, literally nothing. Well we still have no idea where or from who the blood came from. It did make us think about whether our house has been blessed and we ended up asking Brother Jaramillo from the ward to bless our house. He came over with his entire family that night and it was a very nice blessing.

Nothing else weird has happened. I'm sure there's an explanation but we just have no idea what it is....

Well other than that I want to express my gratitude to the Lord for all the blessings he has been pouring out upon my family. Through the emails I receive from them I am so overwhelmed by the incredible love that He has for us. I testify of this Gospel that it really makes lives better. It changes how we see the world and what we cherish. We begin to understand more of our purpose and we can see with a new spiritual light. It makes one grateful, happier, and more at peace. It is such a blessing to know this gospel and to have the ability to live it! Please I beg don't just listen to the prophets voice but give heed unto it and take actions to make your lives happier. We can sit around all day asking for a fish, but if we don't actually go fishing we'll never get it.
