Christmas Day.....We got to Skype with Ashlyn. She is doing great! She doesn't understand 70% of what is going on around her, she has no food in her house, she was accosted by a drunk man, she had chili dogs for Christmas dinner, and she says that being in Mexico is the hardest thing she has ever done, but she seems more grown up than ever and she is learning so much. Her testimony is strong and she has a desire to keep pressing forward, knowing that if she keeps working and trying, it will get better and she will grow to love Mexico and its people.
chili dogs for christmas dinner! Well, if you ever feel like you could have made a better holiday feast, at least you know you topped this one!! Im glad I'm reading this so far after the fact or I would have felt terrible for her at the time!!
